The Romanian minister made this statement during his visit to France on Monday.
“The trend in the number of people entering the army since the end of last year is higher than those leaving,” the Minister of Defense said, adding that the measures taken by the Government have facilitated this.
The national defense strategy envisages increasing the number of active military personnel.
“We will have a final meeting with our allies in January,” Angel Tîlvăr said.
It was concluded by Prime Minister Marcel Ciolacu: “The priority is the development of the defense industry in Romania.”
Minister Tîlvăr stated that some of the money obtained from the contracts signed with defense industry companies will return to the Romanian economy.
Marcel Ciolacu and Angel Tîlvăr visited the 29th Euronaval Show organized by SOGENA (Naval Events Organization and Management Company) on Monday morning. The event takes place in France.
