Mexican stock markets rise at close of session; S&P/BMV IPC rose 0.73% According to Investing.com

Investing.com – Mexico equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the and sectors led shares higher.

At the close in Mexico, the rate was up 0.73%.

The best performer during the session was Controladora Vuela Compania de Aviacion SAB de CV (BMV :), which increased by 6.58%, or 0.81 points, to reach 13.12 at the close. Meanwhile, Alsa SAB De CV (BMV:) added 3.90%, or 2.07 points, to end at 55.16, and Grupo Financiero Banorte (BMV:) rose 2.32%, or 3.38 points, to 148.97 in the final session.

The worst performer during the session was Orbia Advance Corporation SAB de CV (BMV :), which fell by 4.67%, or 0.96 points, to reach 19.61 at closing. Banco Del Bajio S.A Institution De Banca Multiple (BMV:) fell 3.52% or 1.57 points to close at 43.00 and Grupo Televisa SAB Unit (BMV:) fell 2.59% or 0.23 points , to 8.64.

Stock gains outnumbered declines on the Mexican Stock Exchange by 135 to 88, with 13 ending unchanged.

Gold futures for December delivery rose 0.51%, or 13.70, to $2,679.30 per troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodity trading, the price of crude oil for November delivery fell 3.78%, or 2.79, to $71.04 a barrel, while the December Brent crude contract fell 0.05%, or 0.04, reaching a price of $74.73 per barrel.

USD/MXN rose 0.20% to 19.72, while EUR/MXN rose 0.14% to 21.48.

US Dollar Index futures fell 0.07% to 103.01.
