The petition to create the Shiba Inu ETF (SHIB) is just 300 signatures away from reaching the main goal of 10,000. This was announced by popular Shiba Inu community figure Heber MAYEN on social media X. Mayen made this known while reacting to a tweet from SHIB BPP regarding the petition on Change.org, directed to Grayscale Investments CEO Michael SONNENSHEIN. SHIB BPP is promoting a petition on X, urging members of the Shiba Inu community to sign it.
According to a community influencer, June 8 marked the 58th day of asking the community to sign the petition. There are currently 9,701 signatures and the petition is only 299 signatures away from the 10,000 goal. As of February 26, the initial goal was set at 1,000 signatures. The Shiba Inu community passed this milestone in no time, raising the target to 2,500.
Some community members made significant efforts to increase coverage of the petition on Change.org. In March, Shiba Inu’s head of marketing, Lucie, and other community members donated $20 each to help host a “1,000 extra times” petition on the platform. Despite its efforts, Grayscale has yet to respond to a request to introduce an ETF product for SHIB.
