Dominic WILLIAMS, founder of Internet Computer (ICP) blockchain parent company Dfinity, has hinted at the next major update in its artificial intelligence (AI) smart contract demo. According to Williams, facial recognition technology is planned to be integrated into the protocol as the next major update to innovative AI-powered smart contract technology. Although the exact details have not yet been revealed, the founder of Internet Computer said that success in this regard would be a very big achievement.
Internet Computer is a major pioneer in the implementation of AI in smart contracts. It has long been suggested that innovative blockchain and AI technologies can coexist. From a practical standpoint, Internet Computer has attempted to demonstrate how AI running on ICP test networks can optionally be autonomous and tamper-proof.
After the protocol demonstrated the AI engine in the Web3 ecosystem, Dfinity hinted at other unique advances it is making to enable the product to scale. As Coingape previously reported, the protocol has hinted at speed optimization as the next advancement worth looking into.
