According to IPJ Neamț, the accident occurred in the vicinity of Săvinești.
Following checks by the police, it was determined that a man driving a group of vehicles “surprised and injured a man crossing the road at the pedestrian crossing.”
The accident resulted in the death of the 68-year-old man from Săvinești.
The driver was tested for alcohol and the result was negative.
Police are continuing their investigation into the crime of intentional homicide.
