Investing.com – Spain’s equities market was higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the and sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Madrid it was up 0.07%.
The best performer of the session was Corporacion Acciona Energias Renovables SA (BME:), which increased by 2.76%, or 0.56 points, to reach 20.82 at closing. Meanwhile, Caixabank S.A (BME:) gained 2.40%, or 0.13 points, to end at 5.54 and Banco Bilbao Vizcaya Argentaria SA (BME:) gained 2.11%, or 0.19 points, to end at 5.54. 9.29.
The worst performer during the session was Industria de Diseno Textil SA (BME :), which fell by 1.61%, or 0.88 points, to reach 53.70 at closing. Telefonica (BME:) fell by 1.45%, or 0.07 points, ending at 4.43 and Iberdrola (BME:) fell 0.68%, or 0.10 points, to 13.98.
Stocks rising on the Madrid Stock Exchange outnumbered decliners by 100 to 83, with 30 ending unchanged.
Gold futures for December delivery rose 0.95%, or 25.65, to $2,733.15 per troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodity trading, the price of crude oil for November delivery fell 1.81%, or 1.28, to $69.39 a barrel, while the December Brent crude contract fell 1.73%, or 1.29, reaching a price of $73.16 per barrel.
EUR/USD remained unchanged 0.24% to 1.09, while EUR/GBP remained unchanged 0.12% to 0.83.
U.S. dollar index futures fell 0.25% to 103.39.
