Notcoin’s 30M User Game Shifts to Story-Driven Web3

Notcoin, a viral tap to earn game has announced that it will launch a story driven web 3. Notcoin will launch this game in collaboration with NFT collection Lost Dogs and TON based NFT marketplace Getgems. This brings a new shift to the strategies of Notcoin that gained 30 Million players on its clicker game in just 2 months. Let’s explore what kind of game we can expect and what it means for the web3 gaming community.

Low Survival Rate of Tap to Earn Model

The Notcoin team came to realize that their tap to earn model would not sustain for a long term. Even though the game attracted millions of players, this model is not good for long term engagement and growth, hence they ended their mining phase on April 1. Talking about the importance of having a story driven game, the chief barking officer of Lost Dogs collection, Mad Tail said “Because everything in our lives is a form of narrative. Life itself is a narrative concept. Therefore, we aimed for this synchronicity in our game – as above, so below.” Their team believes that players are always in search of a good story game play.

The New Gaming Space

The new game will feature Lost Dogs NFTs as characters for their story driven game. The players will have the chance to acquire a new in-game token along with Notcoin. Mad Tail said that the game incorporated the NFTs to enhance users’ experience. The players would have to make strategic decisions in the game to make progress and win tokens. He explained that the project sees NFTs as a tool that can enrich the gaming experience for the players. The team designed this combination of engaging gameplay and rewarding mechanisms to strengthen the relation between players and the game’s environment.
