Fan Controlled Football (FCF) is a prime example of this change. In the FCF, a league played during the NFL’s off-season, fans use a DAO-like model to call plays in real-time during games. Using a mobile app, they vote on offensive plays via blockchain, and the majority decision is conveyed to the players on the field. Although the league has been on hiatus for the past two years due to a lack of well-known players capable of attracting enough spectators, the league looks set to return strong in 2025.
