If Brown loses, Republicans likely take the Senate majority, and Sen. Tim Scott (R-S.C.) could potentially become the next speaker. Although Scott’s views on crypto have long been muted, he recently endorsed digital asset innovation at the Nashville Bitcoin 2024 event, and at a symposium in Wyoming hosted by the SALT Conference, he proposed a crypto-specific subcommittee should he win the gavel.
