These kinds of interoperability challenges have been around since Web3 was born. Just look at the two most prominent public blockchains: Bitcoin and Ethereum. On the surface, connecting these two networks seems obvious. But the result of the industry’s best efforts is a disparate collection of stopgap solutions, each requiring concessions in terms of security, scalability, decentralization, or coverage. As the CEO of the industry’s longest-standing interoperability solution, Wanchain, I’ve witnessed all the progress we’ve made as an industry. But I also realize how far we are from true interoperability.
